For the City Council meeting on June 11, 2015, the Council had on the agenda to discuss documents needed by the Bexar County Tax Assessor Collector’s office and the Bexar County Appraisal District.
Documents needed by the Tax Assessor Collector included who the City of Sandy Oaks had as a Tax Attorney. The City, however, had not selected one before.
The attorney or law firm would be responsible for the collection of delinquent taxes.
The issue of a tax attorney came up in October of 2014 when Linebarger, Goggan, Blair, & Sampson LLP gave the City Council members packets of information and an empty ordinance to fill out. The firm was the second largest financial contributor to the Sandy Oaks Political Action Committee (SOPAC), which comprises 2/3 of the current City Council.

On June 11, 2015, Alderman Tremblay motioned to have the City Attorney create a resolution to accept Linebarger, Goggan, Blair, & Sampson LLP as the City of Sandy Oaks’ tax attorney.
The original item on the June 11th meeting agenda was
Discuss Tax Assessor Collector required documents
The agenda for the meeting mentioned nothing about the City Council considering the hiring of a tax attorney or taking action on the issue.
