Residents in Waterwood started receiving postcards in mid March from Jim Clement, who claims to be the president of the Waterwood Park Property Owner’s Association (WPPOA).
The postcard has a paragraph on the front that Clement wrote explaining that he is the president of the WPPOA and also the Mayor of the City of Sandy Oaks. He says
I ran and was elected mayor because no one else wanted to serve as mayor.
Clement also announces that he is not going to run again as mayor. His term ends November 2016.
A second paragraph on the postcard describes what Clement calls a “transition period.”
The postcard reads:
Mr. Charles Krause, President of the Waterwood Development Company has signed an agreement to transfer over all maintenance responsibilities and assessment fees to the WPPOA. The WPPOA plans on transfering ownership of all WPPOA assets/responsibilities and assessments to the City of Sandy Oaks. Upon acceptance by the City of Sandy Oaks the WPPOA plans on disbanding.
The other side of the postcard also lists the dates of the city’s incorporation, first election for a City Council, and the illegal amount of sales taxes the City Council allowed voters to create in November.
Clement and other members claiming to be WPPOA board members have been sent requests by a Waterwood resident to view evidence that they are actually elected board members, however no one has responded to the requests.
