7 months later, Still No Police Cars & Another TOMA Violation

On January 14, 2016 the City Council discussed the transfer of vehicles from a Bexar County parking location to the City of Sandy Oaks.

The item was not on the agenda, which didn’t stop Mayor Micki Ball, Aldermen Douglas Tomasini and David Tremblay, and City Marshal Jesse Gutierrez from discussing the topic.

The City of Sandy Oaks was offered 2 vehicles from Bexar County on June 11, 2015, 7 months prior to the January 14th meeting.  The intention of the county was that the vehicles be used for law enforcement services. Ball said the county approval for the vehicles was made in January of 2015.

According to Ball, the vehicles are still in the possession of the county.

Alderman David Tremblay asked who was going to move the vehicles.  Ball pointed out a member of the audience and said he had offered to haul them on a trailer, but the man said he no longer had a trailer.

Alderman Douglas Tomasini asked where the vehicles would be placed and Tremblay volunteered his yard.
